Additions to member bank reserves arose from an increase'of $196,000,000 in Reserve Bank credit, and a decrease of $5#000,000 in Treasury cash, offset in part by increases of $73 ^000,000,in money in circulation,000,000 in Treasury deposits with Federal,Reserve Banks, and $12,000,000 in nonmember -deposits and other Federal Reserve accounts f Excess reseryes of member banks on July 8 were estimated to be approximately $2,320,000,000, an increase of $60,000,000 for the week* The principal change in holdings of bills and securities was an increase of $l8l,000,000 in United States Government securities, bonds increased $19,000,000, certificates $30,000,000, and bills $132,000,000.
