July 1, 1914-3 CONDITION OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS During the week ended June 30 member bank reserve balances decreased $138,000,000»^Reductions in member bank reserves arose from increases of $266,000,000/money in circulation, $161,000,000 in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, $90,000,000 in .nonmember deposits and other Federal Reserve accounts and $7,000,000 in Treasury cash, offset in part by increases of $382,000,000 in Reserve Bank credit and $3,000,000 in Treasury currency. Exoess reserves of member banks on June 30 were estimated to be approximately $1,210,000,000, a decrease of $90,000,000 for the week. There was an increase of $li5l*.000,000 in holdings of United States Government securities. Bills increased $520,000,000, while bonds decreased $26,000,000, notes $3U,000,000 and certificates $6,000,000.
