R* 283 STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS Released for publication Board of Governors^ Friday morning, Oct* 6; of the Federal Reserve System not earlier* October 5* tyhh CONDITION OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS During the weekended October^ member bank reserve balances increased $70,000,000# Additions to member bank reserves arose from an increase of $156,000,000 in Reserve Bank credit, and decreases of $136,000,000 in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks and $10,000,000 in nonmember deposits and other Federal Reserve accounts, offset in part by an increase of $223,000,000 in money in circulation.
