Additions to member bank reserves arose from an increase- of $215,000,000 in Reserve Bank credit and a decrease of $46,000,000 in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, offset in part by decreases of $4.1,000,000 in gold stock and $2,000,000 in Treasury currency and increases of $122,0J0,030 in money in circulation, $17,000,000 in Treasury cash and $6,000,"000 in nonmember deposits and other- Federal Reserve accounts. Excess reserves of member banks on February 14 were estimated to be approximately $1,000,000,000. Holdings of loans, discounts and advances increased $30,000,000 and of United "States Government securities -$119,000,000. The incroas-e in holdings of United States Government securities resulted from increases of $123,00,0,000 in bills and $3,000,000 in certificates and a decrease of $5,000,000 in bonds. .Changes in member bank reserve balances and related items during the week and the year ended February 14, 1945, were as follows* Increase or decrease since Feb.
