Excess reserves of member banks on December 12 were estimated to be approximately $1,250,000,000» r Holdings 0 f l^tms, discounts and advances decreased $33,000,000 and of United States Government securities $32,000,000, The decrease in holdings of United States Government securities reflects increases of ?,.18U,OOOjOOO in b ills and $6,000,000 in nftes and decreases *f $213,000,000 in certificates and $7,000,000 in bonds.
