July 3* .member bank reserve balances decreased $95*000,000* Reductions in member bank .reserves .arose from increases of $260,000,000 in money in circulation; and $19,000,000 in nonmember deposits and other Federal Reserve accounts, and a decrease of $292,000,000 in Reserve Bank credit* -offset in part by decreases of $1|63»000,000 in'Treasury deposits with t Federal-Reserve Banks and $15,00,0,000 in Treasury cash. Excess reserves of member banks on July 3 v/ere estimated to be approximately $1±70,000,000. Holdings of loans, discounts and advances increased $8,000,000, while holdings of United States Government securities decreased $382,000,000 The # decrease in*holdings of United States Government securities reflects an increase of $1,096,000,000 in certificates and decreases of $1,153,000,000 in notes and $325,000,000 in bills.
