;B0ARD OF 'GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM (Released for friblication Friday morning, June 20; not earlier) H.U.I June 19, I9I4.7 CONDITION OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS During the week ended June 18 member bank reserve balances increased $213,000,000. Additions to member bank reserves arose from decreases of $270,000,000 in treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, $58,000,000 in money in circulation and $29,000,000 in nonmember deposits and other Federal Reserve accounts and an increase of $97,000,000 in gold stock, offset in part by a de crease of $2ij.3,000,000 in Reserve Bank credit. Excess reserves of member banks on June 18 were estimated to be approximately $860,000,000. Holdings of loans;, discounts and advances decreased $1*3*000,000 and of United States Government securities $392,000,000. The latter change reflects*a like decrease in bills.
