BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM (Released for publication Friday morning, June 27; not earlier) H.U.I June 26, I9J47 CONDITION OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE BAMS During the week ended, June 25 member bank reserve^ balances decreased $l60,000,000*- Reductions in member bank, reserves arose from increases of $1|17,000,000 in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks and $(62,000,000 in nonmeiriber deposits and other Federal Reserve accounts? and a decrease of $8,000,000 in Treasury currency, offset in part by.increases of $260,000,000 in Reserve Bank credit and $5.1,000,000' in gold -stoclc and decreases, of $12,000,000 in money in cir culation and $1|,000,000 in Treasury cash. Excess reserves of member banks on June 25 were estimated to be approximately $730,000,000. Holdings of loans, discounts and advances showed little change for the week. Holdings of United States *Govarnme^it securities increased $396,000,000, reflecting a like increase in bills.
