BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM H.4.1 (For Immediate Release) November 29, 1951 CONDITION OF THE FEDERA LRESERVE BANKS Member Bank Reserves and Related Items During the week ended November 28, Member bank reserves decreased $240 million. The principal changes reducing reserves were increases of $184 million in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks and $4l million in Money in circulation, and a decrease of $66 millio nin Reserve Bank credit. The principal offsetting changes were decreases of $29 million in Foreign deposits with Federal Reserve Banks and $21 million in Other deposit swith Federal Reserve Banks. The decrease of $66 millio nin Reserve Bank credit resulted from decreases of $285 millio nin Float and $36 million in U. S. Government securities, and an increase of $257 millio nin Loans, discounts and advances. Holdings of U. S. Government securities reflected decreases of $27 million in certificates, and $10 million in bills, and an increase of $1 millio nin bonds.
