BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERA LRESERVE SYSTEM H 4 l (For Immediate Release) March 26, 1953 e # CONDITION OF THE FEDERA LRESERVE BANKS Member Bank Reserves and Related Items During the week ended March 25, Member ban kreserves decreased crease of $15 million in Foreign deposits with Federal Reserve Banks.^ principal offsetting changes were decreases of $108 millio nm Money in circulation and $30 million in Other deposit swith Federal Reserve Banks. The decrease of $791 millio nin Reserve Bank credit resulted from decreases of $393 millio nin Float, $305 million in Loans, discounts and advances, and $94 million in U. S. Government securities. Holdings of U. S. Government securities, which include $63 million certificates of indebtedness special series, issued to th eFederal Reserve Banks, reflected decreases of $47 million in certificates and $46 million in bills.
