Approval of proposal by Trustmark Corporation

For immediate release

The Federal Reserve Board on Thursday announced its approval of the proposal by Trustmark Corporation, Jackson, Mississippi, to acquire Republic Bancshares of Texas, Inc. and its subsidiary bank, Republic National Bank, both of Houston, Texas.

Attached is the Board's Order relating to this action.
